Learn great cooking skills and the other lines under “We are always looking. We are always looking for caring volunteers to help us prepare and deliver healthy meals. We work on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
- Prep Cooks: Tuesdays 8:30am - 11:00am
- Harvesters: Tuesdays 8:00am - 11:00am
- Prep & Packaging: Wednesday 8:30am-noon
- Delivery Volunteers: Wednesday noon-2pm
Please wear close-toed shoes and have hair pulled back off of face to prep or package. We provide safety orientation, knives, gloves & aprons.
Partner with Our Harvesting Program
Join our harvesting group Tuesday mornings at 8:00am at Trinity Lutheran Church. We then carpool out to our weekly orchard harvesting sites. Work consists of picking fruit for our client's meal bags. You must be able to walk through fields and orchards, and lift crates of fruit. Please contact our harvesting manager, Tom Urban – urbantj@cox.net – for more information. We are usually finished with the daily harvest by 11:00am, so it’s a 3 hour commitment and we enjoy the cool mornings and avoid the heat of the afternoons.
We also welcome new harvesting sites. Call us if you have fruit trees that you would like us to come and harvest. All fruit picked is tax deductible. We supply you with a letter stating amount picked for tax purposes.
We are fully insured and professional when coming onto your property.
